At last week’s Division 3 regional, Madeline Blum shot an 83 to pace Marysville. Jadelyn Sattler shot 90, Jolene Kruskie 91, Sydney Anger 104 and Emily Holloway 122.
St. Clair’s Kara Likins qualified as an individual for the event.
At last week’s Division 2 regional, Lanie Plater shot an 83 to pace Northern. Megan Randolph shot a 92, Delaney Ward 94, Grace Mills 99 and Isabella Murray 114.
“We are very excited to go to states as a team,” Port Huron Northern golf coach Jessie Freed said. “The last time Port Huron Northern made the state finals as a team was in 2009. We knew going into regionals that we had to play our best game possible and to remain focused.
“The girls have worked very hard this season and we are glad that our hard work got us to the state tournament. As a first-year coach, I could not be more thrilled with the success that we had this season.”
