Huskies win MAC White dual meet

Lady Huskies Undefeated

The Port Huron Northern girls cross country team was undefeated Tuesday when it claimed first place at the Macomb Area Conference White Division dual meet at Warren Mott High School.

Northern defeated Anchor Bay 22-39, Chippewa Valley 28-29, Utica Ford 15-50, Port Huron High 19-44, St. Clair 15-50 and Mott 21-40.

For the Huskies, Hannah Jones finished second overall with a time of 19:19. Alyssa Modrich (21:08) finished sixth, Kate Lubbers (21:56) took 10th, Lindsey Bellinger (22:28) was 13th, Andrea Simon (22:32) was 14th, Sarah VanderHeuval (22:33) was 15th and Savannah Garcia (22:40) finished 18th.

The boys were 5-2 and finished second. They defeated Anchor Bay 15-50, Chippewa Valley, 15-49, Utica Ford 15-50, Port Huron High 16-47 and Mott 18-44. Their only loss was to St. Clair, 21-36.

Tyler DeLange finished in second place with a time of 16:46. Matt Thomas (16:58) finished in second place, Scott Stokan (17:22) took ninth, Ty Dickinson (17:39) was 10th, Brad Hunt (17:51) finished in 14th place, Thomas Mullally (17:56) took 15th and Brett Parent (18:24) took 21st.

The St. Clair boys went 6-0 and took first place. They defeated Anchor Bay 15-50, Chippewa Valley 15-50, Utica Ford 15-50, Port Huron High 15-49, Mott 17-46 and Northern 21-36.
